Nature-Based Therapy
"This grand show is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never all dried at once; a shower is forever falling; vapor is ever rising. Eternal Sunrise, eternal sunset, eternal dawn and gleaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls."
~John Muir
To Rewild means to return to a more wild or self-willed state. It means returning to our senses, returning to ourselves, and coming home to the world we never stopped belonging to.
I do nature-based work with people in the midst of major life transitions, and psycho-spiritual upheaval.
In these states, it can feel as though the ground has fallen out from underneath you. Many people describe being called to heroic pursuits without warning. You might be experiencing deep grief, becoming a parent, making a big career shift or facing old traumas so that you can be in relationship more fully with those you love.
These thresholds give way to immense potential for living a more authentic life. They require us to grow ever more whole, to shed outgrown ways, and heal from deep within.
During this process, the natural world can be used as a transformative tool to bring your body, mind and spirit into unity. The sacred environment of nature provides a unique arena where you can receive nourishment and healing.
We live in an increasingly fast-paced culture that is constantly reinforcing the idea that we do not have enough and that we are somehow incomplete. This causes many people to continue to consume in an effort to find wholeness.
What if you are already whole and you need nothing else to be fundamentally at peace in this moment?
As your guide, I’m committed to walking the path with you so you can have the “felt” experience that you are a sacred and integral part of this perfect and wonderous world. Together, we will identify and discover nature’s infinite capacity to help transform your life so you can let go of anything that needs to be shed.
This work of connecting deeply to oneself and the numinous translates directly to your relationship’s with others. I have had client’s report noticing a greater capacity for tolerating challenges in their intimate relationships, using the nature-based skills learned in session to remain centered in times of challenge and chaos.
Between our nature-based sessions, I will support you to continue to deepen through practices we co-create. You may learn and practice new mindfulness skills, engage in nature-based art making, ancestral work, cultivating your relationship to wholeness, intentional wandering, conversations with the unseen world, ceremonies and rite of passages, guided visualization, attunement to patterns and cycles in nature, and connecting to your true wildness.
If you are ready and willing to face the calling, to be changed by the fear, love, deep longing, pain, loss, and beauty of this life then make the call. I’m honored to be on this journey with you.
